FAQ

Where can I find your work in Deep Cove?
If you're visiting Deep Cove in person, you can find my work in the village at Deep Cove Collective on Gallant Street - it's just up the road from Arm's Reach and across from Honey's Donuts. They have a range of products from local artisans and are certainly worth a visit.

How often do you restock online?
Usually, once a month - sometimes more often, sometimes less. Be sure to sign up for my email list and follow @deepcovestudio on Instagram to be in the loop for future online restocks.

Where do you ship?
Currently, I only ship to Canadian addresses. Here are the shipping policy details.

Can I arrange for local pick-up?

You bet! Please indicate LOCAL in your checkout code when you checkout and email me (hello@deepcovestudio.com) to coordinate a pick-up date and time in Deep Cove. Shipping costs for local pickup requested after the shipping label has been created will not be refunded.

Will you combine shipping when I buy multiple items?

If it's possible to combine your order of multiple items (without too much risk of damage to your items), I will combine orders and refund you the shipping overage.

Can I return or exchange my item?

All sales are final, so please consider your purchases carefully. Contact me with any questions prior to making your purchase.

My item got lost in the mail / arrived damaged. Help?

Unfortunately, I can't control the mail & pottery isn't invincible! I do my best to pack your items for safe delivery, but some situations are beyond my control. If your item arrives broken, please email me with photos within 7 days of delivery so I can review how to make it right (hello@deepcovestudio.com). Each piece is one-of-a-kind, but I will try to create something similar to replace your damaged item, or issue a refund.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

Yes! This was really important to me. I avoid the use of plastic bubble wrap and tape and use recyclable paper-based alternatives. I also use a biodegradable starch packing peanut that can dissolve in water instead of styrofoam. I tried to also source packaging materials that are also made of recycled material.

How should I take care of my Deep Cove Studio pottery?

Unless otherwise noted in the item description, all functional ware (ie. cups, mugs, bowls) are dishwasher and microwave safe - however, washing by hand is recommended to ensure your item stays in its best condition.

Where is Deep Cove Studio? Can I visit in person?

Out of respect for my family and my privacy, I won't be sharing my studio's location. You can find my work in person if you're visiting Deep Cove at Deep Cove Collective on Gallant Street - it's just up the road from Arm's Reach and across from Honey's Donuts. During the winter season, they're open Fridays to Mondays from 10 am - 6 pm.

Are you open to commissions or custom orders?

Short answer: Generally no, but maybe! Please reach out via the Contact page with your idea and we can discuss it.

Longer answer: I generally don't accept custom order requests because my timelines can be slow - sadly, pottery isn't my full time job. Plus, if the custom order is outside my typical style, there may be another artist better suited for your request. If we do discuss your custom order and I do accept it, please note that any estimated completion timelines are subject to change. I will also require 50% of the order value to be paid before I begin work on your custom order, and the final 50% payment (+ any additional shipping costs) made prior to coordinating a local pick-up/delivery, or shipping.
